It looks like Radical Buy has decided to innovate even further after I recently visited their homepage (www.radicalbuy.com). They are introducing a new widget that allows you to list your items for sale anywhere on the web including Myspace, blogs, personal websites, and more.  It looks like Facebook was just the first place Radical Buy wanted to test out their unique idea.  I can already see people with blogs putting a Radical Buy widget besides the content in order to sell related products.

I’ve been busy with some job related activities for the last few months so I apologize for the lack of updates over the last few months.

I am beginning to see more affiliate and web marketing products on the site including subscriptions to psp download sites, e-books(free and paid), template websites, and more. It looks like web marketers see the potential in Radical Buy and may be testing out the system.

Commissions are now at a total of $333,759.88 (as of December 28, 2007) compared to $183,526.72 on December 7, 2007. The amount of users hasn’t increased much with a total of 3300 total users (66 daily active users which is 2% of the total) compared to 3200 total users on December 7th, 2007. I have been told that Radical Buy will be advertising in the new year so expect this number to increase dramatically. Part of this increase in commissions could be due to the offering of high priced custom Mavericks items (that I discussed in previous posts) with high commissions.

I’ve also listed an item myself, which has been viewed 147 times in 23 days of being listed. Up to this point, one person sent me an email asking for further information. One person has also asked to sell this item on their profile. I will keep everyone updated on any further developments.

While I was writing my last post about the latest luxury items being offered on Radical Buy, many new luxury items have been added in the meantime. I’m not sure if these are items from Mark Cuban himself but I’ll try to find out. While it was known that Mark Cuban would be offering memorabilia from the Dallas Mavericks on Radical Buy, some new luxury items or services have just shown up, which would make the dreams come true of any Mav’s fan if received as a holiday gift. Radical Buy’s application

According to Radical Buy’s Facebook application, so far the total commissions available equal $183,526.72. Their page also lists 128 daily active users, which it says is 4% of the total number of users. Using my incredible math skills, taking 128 and dividing by 4 and then multiplying by 100, gives a total of 3200 signed up for Radical Buy so far. It will be interesting to see how quickly this number rises. Facebook supposedly has more than 57 million active users and this number is rising as well. Anyone have any estimates of the number of Radical Buy users in a month from now or a year from now? Let’s take some guesses. I say 1 million users 6 months from now.

Here’s my list of the top five reasons(not in any specific order) why Radical Buy will be a success and possibly overtake Ebay:

1. Backed by a billionaire

It’s created and backed up by Mark Cuban so running out of cash will not be a problem since he is a billionaire (which on a side note will buy us Americans a hamburger in Europe).

2. Non- sellers can also make cash

Facebook users can display other people’s listings and receive commissions unlike Facebook Marketplace (so now instead of just failing a class while they’re logged onto facebook, a student can at least have some cash for unemployment).

3. People may be more likely to trust the seller

Instead of buying from a nameless seller, you can see the person who’s selling the product and they may even be part of your school network (so now instead of getting ripped off by some random dude in Oregon, you’ll be able to see the scammer on a daily basis, that won’t be awkward).

4. Utilizes an existing group of people

With millions of Facebook users, these ads are guaranteed to be seen by many people (so now everyone in addition to your friends can wonder why you’re selling a woman’s handbag).

5. Easy for someone to sign up

For facebook users, you can add this application with a few clicks and list an item quickly and easily (even faster than an OJ heist).

What is Radical Buy?

It’s a brand new facebook application, started by Mark Cuban, where facebook users can buy and sell items. The twist is that facebook users can promote the items of the original seller and receive a commission. Some have predicted that this will be bigger than Ebay by using the millions of people on social networking sites to buy and sell these products.

At this point, this site will be focused on making money with this new application whether selling your own product or a product where you receive a commission.

The application seems very user friendly and I quickly was able to list an item without any problems. I will have more on this once I actually sell an item.
